The RP240D features dual 3.5” Cerametallic woofers and a 1” Titanium Dome Linear Travel Suspension tweeter; this design is based on the well-acclaimed Klipsch’s Reference Premiere box speakers. It is an ideal choice for front LCR, or side/rear surrounds in your system. Klipsch’s Reference Premier Range The mid-range RP-240D slim line speakers are a step up from the RP-140D by having an extra 3.5” Cerametallic woofer. This is perfect if you need more power and a thicker low end. Cerametallic Woofers The 2 3.5” Cerametallic woofers represent Klipsch’s top quality design capabilities, the drivers maintain exceptional rigidity to prevent against resonance, and lightweight construction, for minimal cone breakup and distortion. Tractrix Horn LTS Tweeters The 1” tweeter uses Klipsch’s Tractrix Horn geometry, which improves high-frequency response and disperses the highs towards the listening area for the most natural sound.
